Of course, this is just MY opinion, but I think the "moral decline" has been coming on for several generations, and just gets worse with each one. The moral decline started in the 60s with: Rock-N-Roll (Elvis, The Beatles, etc.) Civil Rights Illegal Drug Activity The Birth Control Pill The mini-skirt Women's Lib

The moral decline started in the 60s with: Rock-N-Roll (Elvis, The Beatles, etc.) Civil Rights Illegal Drug Activity The Birth Control Pill The mini-skirt Women's Lib And in the 20's it was the flappers and the Charleston and Jazz. Before that it was women showing their ankles and the sufferage movement. And before that it was something else. I don't deny that it certainly SEEMS worse than it used to be. In too many cases it IS worse than it used to be. But blaming things like Rock and Roll and the like is kinda silly, IMO.

Here we go again. I, I, I, I. There are others on the planet than I, I and I. And, yes, it is across teh country. But, there's much more to it than that. Too bad you don't recognize that. So tell me. How does the Seatle Airport's holiday decorations, or lack there of, affect YOUR Christmas? I'm so sick of those who complain, and those who change for the sake of complaining. That goes for those who complain because it's there, and those that complain because it ISN'T there. It's silly, and couterproductive to the Season. I recognize that the holidays' have NOW become more about whiners and complainers then those who actually ENJOY the season for what it is. Geez...give it UP already. *the above rant is not directed at anyone in particular in reference to complainers and whiners just so no one get's their knickers in a twist* End soapbox. ;D It's about precedent.

I think you're wrong. And I think the moral decline in this country is an obvious sign that you are. The moral decline in this country (and the resst of the world) has a vast number of causes only one of which is whether or not people are religious. But my comments weren't about moral decline they were about whether there is this vast conspiracy to remove Christ from Christmas. A totally different thing. Well, duh! Of course there is. Where have you been the last 15 years, living in your perfect world with colored glasses on ? This is a no-brainer.

Please tell me you don't really think that rock music, civil rights, birth control pills, mini skirts and women's lib are bad things and caused moral decay. Please. I believe they are all contributors to the LOOSENING of society and permissiveness. They are not necessarily BAD things, and I am grateful for all of them, but they are definitely contributors to our present state which differs greatly from the era before the 60s.

Those things were 'rebellious' and started an anti-moral tinge to society at that time. The entire platform for each named event was rebellion.

Rebellion is what the USA is all about. Otherwise we'd have pictures of English royalty on our money. This is the land of rebellion.

There is a 'good' rebellion, such as the people speaking out against evil but there is another form of rebellion, which we have all seen the effects on our society of. The list above contains the latter.
