There is a 'good' rebellion, such as the people speaking out against evil but there is another form of rebellion, which we have all seen the effects on our society of. The list above contains the latter. Who gets to decide which one is which? Is it just you? Or do the rest of us get a voice in this? If it is you, then who picked you to be the arbiter of good and evil?

This is the goofy 21 century where P/C runs amuck. Everyones offended, everyone has to walk on egg shells.

This is the goofy 21 century where P/C runs amuck. Everyones offended, everyone has to walk on egg shells. Did anybody happen to catch this rabbi on O'Reilly last night? He was not offended by the christmas trees, he simply wanted inclusion of a single menorah to be bought by his temple & given to the airport. Then the airport got all huffy & decided they would take down the trees & make a huge deal out of nothing. All they had to do was put ONE menorah.

I think the rabbi is doin' a crawdad on this because of the negative publicity. He didn't ask to have a menorah included...he was suing to get it included. Anytime someone brings lawyers into the equation, everyone loses.

Bill 'O' Reilly mentioned this issue on his radio show. I think it was the lawyers who got too active and the airport decided they didn't want to mess with a lawsuit so instead they just took down the Christmas trees so as no one would be offended.. At least that is how I understood the issue. I don't think they had a big enough menorah to make the other side happy or something.

Please tell me you don't really think that rock music, civil rights, birth control pills, mini skirts and women's lib are bad things and caused moral decay. Please. I believe they are all contributors to the LOOSENING of society and permissiveness. They are not necessarily BAD things, and I am grateful for all of them, but they are definitely contributors to our present state which differs greatly from the era before the 60s. So we should go back to a time when blacks and women did not have equal rights and status? To a time when women did not have birth control options so had babies if they had sex? Get rid of all that evil rock music? Sorry but I view having equal rights with men as a good thing. You can go back to that very much lessor time if you want.

The rabbi was not planning on suing if his request wasn't met. So instead of placing a menorah in the airport (and it didn't have to be 14 feet like the christmas tree...this was mentioned if you would have listened) they perpetuated the myth of christian persecution on the behalf of non-believers.

That's my mistake then. I didn't see the interview with the rabbi. I was just going by this line in the original article: "Rabbi Elazar Bogomilsky, who made his request weeks ago, said he was appalled by the decision. He had hired a lawyer and threatened to sue if the Port of Seattle didn't add the menorah next to the trees, which had been festooned with red ribbons and bows. "

I guess I heard wrong last night. I thought he said he was not suing.

Like I said earlier, when you get lawyers involved, everyone loses. lol

The airport changed their mind and the tress are goining to be put back. How about the menorah? Apparently not gonna be put up, even though the rabbi has offered to buy it himself.
