I believe they are all contributors to the LOOSENING of society and permissiveness. They are not necessarily BAD things, and I am grateful for all of them, but they are definitely contributors to our present state which differs greatly from the era before the 60s. So we should go back to a time when blacks and women did not have equal rights and status? To a time when women did not have birth control options so had babies if they had sex? Get rid of all that evil rock music? Sorry but I view having equal rights with men as a good thing. You can go back to that very much lessor time if you want. Apparently, you missed this part of my quote - "They are not necessarily BAD things, and I am grateful for all of them"

See Mrs. P's response at the top of this page. But that's ok, you can keep claiming things are what they are not & all is well. When I said that the Menorah is a symbol of the Jews of Judea's victory over the Syrians 2300 years ago you said "WRONG". The miracle of THE OIL occured while celebrating the victory over Syria and the redidication of the temple. You're splitting hairs with me out of your long-standing hatred of me. Funny, it doesn't look like it has anything to do with hatered. It looks more like you're getting your silly strawman arguments shredded and you're coming up with even flimsier ones to replace them. But hey, that's just my opinion.

But I still think its rather silly to say that these good things are the cause of moral decay.

Personally, I think our corrupt politicians, overly induldged celebrities, and parents who won't allow their children to be disciplined in school are more the cause than anything.

Sex with children is illegal Not everywhere. Marching down the street is not illegal. Neither is "HATE". It's not in Israel, either. I didn't say that it did. ASKED? He threatened to SUE. Big difference. That's what really pissed people off. What's a "FARK"? Today is my birthday. I can be as silly as I want.

Apparently, you missed this part of my quote - "They are not necessarily BAD things, and I am grateful for all of them" I guess I did. But I still think its rather silly to say that these good things are the cause of moral decay. The birth control pill IS a good thing but it enabled women to be promiscuous without the fear of pregnancy. Some people think promiscuity is a "good thing". It all depends on one's personal opinion, I guess. The mini-skit is a good thing if you want to be physically alluring and attract an immediate mate so that you can have sex without the fear of pregancy cuz you're on the pill. The lyrics of Rock-n-roll songs promoted promiscuity & rebellion against long-established societal rules. Illegal drug use led to increased crime, promiscuity & malaise. Women's lib led to a new way of life where children were often left at home alone or with LESS time with mom than before the movement. Civil rights...too long of an explanation that I don't feel like diving into today. These all led AWAY from the concept of "family first" and into the era of "ME first". You've got to admit that moral decay is much worse now than in the 50s. If y'all can come up with different etiological factors, I'll listen. I could be wrong but these are MY OPINIONS - only. That's all. ;D

I wouldn't expect any more from a self-proclaimed PEOPLE HATER.

I agree with Diplomat. There are a lot of reasons for the decay, the breakdown of family and what she listed are some of them whether there were good effects from them too or not.

Well, I don't like you, but that wouldn't change the fact that you're still wrong. I'm sorry, this wasn't nice. Please accept my apology.
