That's my mistake then. I didn't see the interview with the rabbi. I was just going by this line in the original article: "Rabbi Elazar Bogomilsky, who made his request weeks ago, said he was appalled by the decision. He had hired a lawyer and threatened to sue if the Port of Seattle didn't add the menorah next to the trees, which had been festooned with red ribbons and bows. " That's the guy. I guess I heard wrong last night. I thought he said he was not suing. I think the airport thought he was going to sue, when he had no plans to sue. So the airport just took down all the Christmas stuff to be safe.

Apparently not gonna be put up, even though the rabbi has offered to buy it himself. I just read that on another website. Unbelievable. Just one measly menorah.

I believe they are all contributors to the LOOSENING of society and permissiveness. They are not necessarily BAD things, and I am grateful for all of them, but they are definitely contributors to our present state which differs greatly from the era before the 60s. So we should go back to a time when blacks and women did not have equal rights and status? To a time when women did not have birth control options so had babies if they had sex? Get rid of all that evil rock music? Sorry but I view having equal rights with men as a good thing. You can go back to that very much lessor time if you want. So if one or two people get offended at a public Christmas Tree we should take it down? What about the rights of the majority? What about tolerance and understanding? What about getting thicker skin so they won't be offended so easy? Who's kidding who... I think though that deep down inside no one is really offended, they just pretend to be offended in order to win a lawsuit, or to give their political liberal angenda a big boost. But that's just my opinion. Pretend to be offended and win big.

I couldn't imagine being a jew this time of year or any time of the year for that matter in the US. How often do you see a menorah being displayed at your local grocery store? How often do you see a christmas tree or a santa claus?

[ How often do you see a menorah being displayed at your local grocery store? Frequently. But then I imagine the Jewish population is a great deal higher than it is out your way.

They want to be divided and to have their old homeland culture and nothing else. The Christians have rights too. Dec. 25th is a Christian holiday. We will celebrate the holidays of other cultures as they come up in the year. The reason for the Christmas tree at the airport is because IT's CHRISTMAS. We don't celebrate no other holiday on Dec. 25th.

You did know that Hanukkah starts on friday, right? News flash dingbat, not all people of faith are christian & not all of them are immigrants.

The airport changed their mind and the tress are goining to be put back. How about the menorah? How about a burning Yule log? How about a Winter Solstice display? How about a display of the Dome on the Rock? How about a nativity scene?

How about a burning Yule log? How about a Winter Solstice display? How about a display of the Dome on the Rock? Why the hell should Christmas be the only public display? What makes it so much more worthy than anything else? Who would it hurt if they did put up displays for every possibility? What the hell difference would it make?
