This is just too funny. I can't believe you did not know Israel existed before 1948. The Israelites were around as slaves to Pharoah way back when. It's the foundation of the Jewish faith - the history of the slaves, led my Moses out of Egypt into the Promised Land - Israel. That was a few thousand years ago.

As a NATION, Israel did NOT exist prior to 1948. Check it out on Google and see when Israel became a legitimate nation.

Israel did not exist prior to 1948. It was founded by an act of the newly formed United Nations from lands that were part of the British-held territory of Palestine. I have news for you. Israel was in existance way before any of the Arab nations existed. As a matter of fact, Abraham had a son with his slave girl and bore a son, Ishmael, who was the 'father' of the Arab nations. There was a period of time later when Israel was occupied but was later restored by the UN in 1948 but Israel has been in existance for thousands of years. here is a link to a map of Israel 1000 B.C. www.preceptaustin.org/map%20of%20divided%20kingdom.gifI have "news" for you. HEBREWS were around back then...NOT the nation we currently recognize as "Israel".

The nation of Israel should be cut loose and allowed to either sink or swim. If Israel is indeed God's chosen people(which I do not believe), then let God save it. Israel would sell out America in a New York minute.

Well, I dont think I am a fear monger... I do fear what they might do. There is a difference between apprehension because of what happened, and flat-out fear. Apprehension is a rational process created by an experience (ie; " Should I worry about this person?"). You ask yourself a reasonable question, then you move through the process of decision. Fear is a purely emotional response, and completely irrational in the absence of the proper stimuli (ie; rational: "He's pointing a gun at me, I'm going to die." Irrational: "He's a Muslim, I'm going to die.") Considering what happened, apprehension toward Muslims IS understandable. FEAR and by extension, HATRED of all people and things Muslim, is irrational and will only result in more innocent people being killed. it'll become a vicious cycle that no one will come out on top of, unless and until -SOMEONE- says, "no more". And no one has asked you to. What some of us have been trying to make others understand, is that not ALL Muslims are threatening us. I understand what you are saying... however, not all fear leads to hatred. I dont hate any muslims I have ever met, I dont think that they personally want to kill me or anyone else... I know that they want peace. However, I do fear the ones that want to kill us... I dont think that has to lead to hatred. I think that some are equating extremists with all muslims and that's too bad. They are letting the few bad apples ruin their opinion of the whole. However, just like I speak out about the Christians that do harm in the name of my God, I think that the good Muslims should speak out against the extremists... and the ones that do (I applaud) should do it more.

I know that they want peace. However, I do fear the ones that want to kill us... That's not irrational, though. It's perfectly understandable, and I feel the same way. Exactly. And it's sad that they do, because frankly, that's lazy thinking. They're not taking the time to consider that ALL people are different and there are good and bad in any group. Thing is, is they DO. For some people, no matter how much the mainstream Muslims speak out against the terrorism and violence, it's never enough. They want more, more, more. What more can they do? What do some of these people want? For every peaceful Muslim to protest the violence by lighting themselves on fire? Didn't make a whole lot of difference when the Buddhist monk did it during 'Nam. Most of them are doing what the majority of Christians do to spread their word... they live their lives as an exapmle. Too bad no one is paying attention.

Sure. Tell us all there was no Israel and the HOlocaust did not happen. Shabby dodge there, Koinonia... The two are not connected. Israel did not exist before 1948. That has nothing to do with the Holocaust. That was a weak attempt. Surely you've got better malarkey than that.

He's taking his "historical data" from a rather shady website and has no interest in checking the validity of the "maps" from that site. "Bible Nazism" at its finest. He gets proven wrong and he STILL won't accept that he IS wrong.

That's why we need to be proactive and act before something happens. Just what is it you want to do to or with Americans who happen to to be Muslims? Be Americans, join our culture, Assimilate... don't just come here and pretend it's an extention of the old homeland they left. Do they want to be Americans or not?

Sorry, boys, but I don't believe historical data is wrong and you boys are right. Not the case. Israel has existed for millenia. You don't have to like it but it's still fact. do a search for the truth yourselves if you don't like my sources.
