Well if you want to get TECHNICAL about it, isn't that the same position of Christians? Follow in God's footsteps or burn in hell? (ie vanish from the Earth) I'm not exactly sure what your point is. I think in the case of the Muslims their intent is to KILL us, it has nothing to do with the Christian belief of life after death or of God's wrath. Well, that would depend I would think. Extremists Muslims wish to end our control over the M.E. Not nessesarily kill us as a whole. In the specific case of the Iranian leader, I don't think he's words have anything to do with threatening to kill all of us. Only that we are refusing God, and as a result we are going to suffer for it. Kinda like not helping Israel will bring about the wrath of God. Perhaps Iran is just looking for international aid from us like Israel gets.

Kissy, you seem lost. I'm not sure I can explain it to you. Not sure anyone can. Nope. Unlike most men, I follow directions.

The outspoken president also maintained Iran's defiance over its controversial nuclear programme, saying it was on course to fully master nuclear technology.
"Thank to God's help, we have gone all the way and are only one step away from the zenith. " What would it take to convince you, a nuclear explosion in OK?

The Muslims want us all dead. They want the whole globe to go back to the 7th century and be all Muslim. Women in coverings, women walking 2 steps behind a man, public stonings, whippings, beheadings and things like that. very horriffic. They told us point blank what they want to do to us. I don't think that's a bluff.

Which can mean Nuclear Power, not necessarily bombs. [/i] "[/quote] Which can mean anything from achieving enlightenment, to the second coming. Fear-mongering. You may as well just say the sky is falling. Point: Everything you've highlighted is ambiguous. YOU can read fear into it, I don't.

Some people -need- a "demon" to excuse their lack of rational thought. It goes in cycles. Ten years from now, it'll be another group.

Well, I dont think I am a fear monger... I do fear what they might do. I dont take "death to America, death to Isreal" lightly. However, if someone doesnt see something to be afraid of... who cares? Really. I know that we have a real enemy that wants to kill us... all of us, even the tolerant ones. But they may never do it.
Now... with regards to this... ... I cant agree with that. I would never, could never deny my religion. It is a part of me. And by my faith I cant deny it. So no.. it isnt like skin color, but you cant change it like a shirt either.

Well, I dont think I am a fear monger... I do fear what they might do. There is a difference between apprehension because of what happened, and flat-out fear. Apprehension is a rational process created by an experience (ie; " Should I worry about this person?"). You ask yourself a reasonable question, then you move through the process of decision. Fear is a purely emotional response, and completely irrational in the absence of the proper stimuli (ie; rational: "He's pointing a gun at me, I'm going to die." Irrational: "He's a Muslim, I'm going to die.") Considering what happened, apprehension toward Muslims IS understandable. FEAR and by extension, HATRED of all people and things Muslim, is irrational and will only result in more innocent people being killed. it'll become a vicious cycle that no one will come out on top of, unless and until -SOMEONE- says, "no more". And no one has asked you to. What some of us have been trying to make others understand, is that not ALL Muslims are threatening us.

There's still not a single shread of proof that Iran is developing nuclear weapons. If anyone can find any proof otherwise, post it! Our former business partner (Iranian) is buying all the necessary parts & fuel from Russia and selling them to Iran along with U.S. technology. The U.S. Gov't. is not stopping him (for some strange reason).

He's not as stupid as he looks. He has a PhD in engineering. Iran would not accept handouts from the "Great Satan". Israel's hand is always out for anything they can shake out of anybody.

Wow. All I can say is that some of you just cannot face the facts. I will leave it at that.

Actually I was being sarcastic. Hoping to throw a dig in about our support of Israel. Sorry I wasn't clearer.

There is a difference between apprehension because of what happened, and flat-out fear. Nothing wrong with fear, only an idiot doesn't respond to it.
