Matthew 6:5
And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret , will reward you. Yes but there's public and then there's real public. Praying in the middle of a parking lot off on the grass is something I don't think that bible verse had in mind. In this verse, God is saying that praying should be done in secret. There is nothing "secret" about praying in the parking lot at Mc'D's.

I see folks. Pray like Chirstians do or you are wrong. What a bunch of intolerant people i see in here.
There are chapels in airports ya know. Identifiably Christian chapels. What the hell is wrong with other Americans wanting their religion treated equally? Why is that a problem for any of you?

Don't you ever read your Constitution.

Excuse me MrsP, Chapels in airports are for all faiths. Why don't the Muslims use them? Most of the ones I have have seen are recognizable Christian, including the cross being displayed. THose that have been nondemoniational are still laid out like a Chirstian church or synagog with pews. They are not condusive to Muslim prayers.

They are all referred to as Interfaith Chapels where all faiths can use them. Muslims are welcomed in these Chapels as all other faiths.

Let's see-we have somking rooms in airports. Why can't we have prayer rooms if all faiths can use them and they are not for any specific faith, as that would be discrimanatory.

What the hell is wrong with other Americans wanting their religion treated equally? Why is that a problem for any of you? I don't think that is what everyone is saying. At least it wasn't what I was saying and it wasn't how I was reading everyone's posts. Could be wrong....have been before. I was simply stating the way I was raised to believe. I also said that it didn't mean they were wrong. I've been in LOTS of airports but I have never seen a chapel. I guess I wasn't looking for one either though. I guess my thing is....if they can pray in the grass of a McDonald's parking lot then why can't they pray in the floor of an airport chapel? Why should there be a different room for each religion? Catholics and Christians don't pray the same as eachother. So, should we have a Muslim room, a Catholic room, a Mormon room, etc? Someone of Christian faith can squat and pray anywhere...why can't they? What makes any religion any better than another one? Of course, I'm not one to believe that any religion is wrong (I'm not including cults here - that's a different thread). That doesn't mean I agree with what all religions do but I'm not the one to say they are wrong. All we can each do, is follow our hearts and hope we are getting the largest part of it right.

And I really don't know why a "prayer room" is necessary for anyone. If it is, maybe they should have them in schools...course that would shoot down the libs claim that no one is stopping kids from praying because they can do it "anywhere" silently".

I just don't get what the big deal is. I often wonder......years and years from now.....what they will call the age we live in today. We have the Stone Age, etc. I think we should call it the Whiny Age. Everyone MUST whine about something. They are afraid some "group", "race", etc. is going to get something they aren't.

I always thought those prayers rooms at the airport were used mainly for grieving situations. I hadn't ever heard that from anyone but ever time I saw someone in one they were crying and being consoled by someone.

Tell them to make them accommodating for muslims. It's an easy solution. But I don't believe an easy solution is what they're after.
