I'm sorry, I haven't found real beer anywhere in the US. What's your favorite brew, Brit? I like a nice Boddingtons, or Guinness, perhaps Tetleys. It has to be draught, and has to be hand pulled.

Coors lite is real beer. Coors lite is Urine in a bottle. Any "lite" is urine in a bottle, IMO. Regular Budweiser is the only way to go. There may be slightly better tasting beers, but the cost difference is no where near worth it.

I worked for a beer wholesaler in Charleston for a couple of years. Guinness was one of the beers we carried. It was a bit stout for my taste. My favorite lite beer is Mich Ultra. We carried a beer that was sort of "medium dark", called Erlanger, that I really liked.
Not a bud fan, for some reason I find it bitter.

Strouhs beer from Detroit is not bad, dunno if it's still around. They had the factory right off the Chrysler freeway a big reddish building.

Bud is another disgusting beer. The original Czech Budweiser is far superior.
Bud may be cheaper, but you get what you pay for, and Bud is an embarrassment to beer and a laughing stock in the world of beers.
Bud select is a little better, but still paraffin.

You Brits wouldn't know a good beer if you had it. Only country I've been in where they drank their beer warm...talk about close to being pizz, that's it.

Only Americans and Australians drink it so cold you cant enjoy it. Neither of you know a damned thing about quality libations. ;D Bitter should be consumed slightly below room temparature. Hardly warm, and lager should be served slightly chilled. American beer is known the world over for being crap. That's why nobody anywhere other than America drinks it.
